Touring the world

10 days, 9 states, and 40+ hours on a charter bus.

7 Things I learned on my AIM adventure to all over.

7- The day before I departed for my 10 day adventure, I told myself I wouldn't need a camera... bad idea on my part.

6- I grew up thinking a river was this winding muddy trench thing (I've lived in Texas all my life). Well, last week I saw the Mississippi river.

5- I learned that there is a soda called "RC Cola", I had never heard of it until I went to this Church in Kentucky who had a RC Cola coke dispenser. I think every Church building needs a coke dispenser.

4- There was very few football fans in Kentucky. I kept thinking "What's wrong with this state?!" Haha. But I loved the people there, they were almost as nice as Texas folk :D

3- After 2 days in Alabama, I was a little disappointed. I didn't see near as many mullets as I had expected.

2- The Arch in St. Louis is really really awesome! Turns out you can go to the top of The Arch. It was well worth the $10.

1- I never thought I would miss Lubbock.

I had a BLAST!

Just started our new term with 4 new classes!

  • Spiritual Formation - James Henderson & Jay Jarboe
  • Acts - Ray Young
  • Romans - Charlse Speer
  • Church of Christ - Victor Ellison

I'm really excited about this new term.

One last thing: We pick our teams and our destinations for the mission field in less than 2 weeks! So pray a special little prayer for us!

Only two terms left!

We survived Ed Wharton's class!
(Ed pictured top row 3rd from left)

For those of you who don't know who the famous (or maybe infamous) Ed Wharton, I will try to explain him to you.

He teaches a class called "Historical Christian Evidences" where we can prove that Christianity is a historically accurate. Overall I really enjoyed the class and learned alot.

Before we started classes, all any one talked about was the difficulty of Ed Wharton's class. Rumors of his awesomeness spread around such as "when you go to his class you have to take off your shoes, for it is holy ground" and "Chuck Norris even failed Ed's first test." Turns out he is a very funny guy, but his class was no walk in the park. But Ed taught me alot and really strengthened my faith, just want to give a shout out to him and say: Thanks!

The first term just ended last Friday and we are know on our "Break Weak".

Thursday, the AIM class is going to Paducah Kentucky, then down to Alabama. I have never been to that part of the country so it'll be very interesting. I've been to Paducah, Texas...that's got to count for something right? Hah.

I'm not sure what kind of classes we'll have for our second term, but I'll keep y'all updated!

My Cowboys lost and Romo is out for 4 weeks...there is sorrow in apartment 9B...
...At least Oklahoma lost on Saturday to Texas!
